Jinjie Liu

Welcome to my home page! I’m Jinjie Liu (刘津榤), a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, advised by Prof. Shaohua Li. Before that, I received my M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and my B.Eng. in Information Security from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2023.
My research lies in AI Infrastructure, especially optimizing domain-specific languages such as Triton, so that deep learning compilers and machine learning systems can generate faster and more portable kernels.
Before joining CUHK, I worked as a compiler engineer at the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI), maintaining FlagGems and FlagTree. I have also been fortunate to work on model inference optimization with Prof. Hang Qiu (UC Riverside), zero-knowledge proofs with Prof. Lei Fan, and hardware security with Prof. Dawu Gu at SJTU. Earlier, I interned at NaiveSystems and Momenta, building static language checkers and accelerating vehicle-side model inference.
